The Truths about Truth

Morning Meets with God

On the journey towards TRUTH!
On the journey towards TRUTH!

We are on a journey where God is sharpening and maturing us with what He has granted unto us - Authority. This authority that He has granted us is the authority and power to frame and shape worlds and realities. What a tremendous honor it is to engage in that!

Yet one of the many ways, God working to sharpening us for the execution of this power is by way of TRUTH!

This week we dived into the TRUTH about TRUTH! Here’s a couple of things we met with God about concerning TRUTH:

  1. God is going to work truth in us first, before we can frame worlds and realities.

This preps and invites us into a process with God where He truly works truth in us. He completes this work by laying the foundation and the pillars of our world and reality with HIS truth. God will sometime do this by revisiting the stronghold that were built in your past. He will aggressively address every matter that shapes your reality now and how you live. Your history and the times/experiences in which you rest on, cannot simply rest on a delusional past. He has to break that fallow ground and plant seeds of truth in you, so that what comes out of you is TRUTH. How can trust you with an authority he has not examined you on?

  1. The truth that comes from the Lord transcends time.

Truth remains from generation to generation. TRUTH is eternal. It doesn’t change no matter what is happening around us. Psalms 117: 2 states that “ …the truth endures forever. “ We oftentimes talk about the difference between truths and facts. Facts are not only changed when variables are changed, but facts can be changed when pressure and other weighty elements are applied. It may not be able to stand the test of time or change. Some people try to rest in the land of no change. Although comfortable, this land produces nothing, because it cannot stand the pressure of change. But when truth is applied and lived by, it truly gives you a life of freedom. It may hurt, it may cause some pain, but TRUTH is a valuable virtue to live from!

  1. TRUTH must be TRIED!

Any type of pressure or contention can make or break matters. We spend most of our lives trying to avoid confrontation. We don’t believe that truth have to be fought for, but it does. In order for truth to be what it is, it must be set for trial and test. God showed me this with relationships. ANY TRUE RELATIONSHIP IS TRIED and maybe even tried on so many levels. All of your relationships, partnerships, connections must be tried in order to be defined as true. 1 Peter 1: 6-8 says “ In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been [c]grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire.” The reality is your value and security is not known in any space unless it is tested. The test of trial comes by way of fire. In the fire, things get hot, all of the impurities burned away, and the true essence of the matter remains. So, therefore we need to rest in God when He calls for a trial or test. This comes to prove that whatever you have invested time in, it is worth it. In addition to truth being tried in matters, we cannot forget that truth MUST be tried in us too!

  1. TRUTH that’s Tried can be TRUSTED!

When truth is tried, then we know that truth is durable. It can withstand time, storms, and changes. When test and trials come it proves what’s been firmly planted in us. How can we guarantee the trust of one's heart, if trials don't prove what's really on the table? As a matter of fact, how dare we demand trust when we haven't endured?!?! We have made certain virtues a requirement in our own lives without being put to trial. Let's bring it around to our relationship with God. How can we demand His anointing, when we haven't been tried to with hold His grace and presence? This statement of trust is show in how you endure. Heaven is aware of how we process through trials and tests. How we respond is recorded in Heaven! So, if you jump out of a process of trial, can you be qualified for the oil of this authority? Should you really be considered for the impartation of this grace? When God pours out on you something, you must be willing to " Count it all joy..." ( James 1:2). Truth that has been established and tried in every area of your life can be trusted. It is known to remain, "...much like a brother, born for adversity." (Proverbs 17:17) . It will remain and that's a guarantee.

  1. TRUTH PROVES

The point of the trials of truth is to prove something. It proves what’s made of a matter such as a relationship. It proves character. It proves intent and motives. Through the trials, we really learn what one is made of when truth is tried. Truth proves what we believe. Truth proves how strong we are. Truth further proves what’s worth withstanding. When we allow the truth to reveal things to us, it can save us from a lot of wasted time and pain. What we ultimately tend to forget is that TRUTH PROVES GOD & His Character in everything! I personally have learned that I can trust God in EVERYTHING! I can trust what He has said, even if it doesn't look like it's going that way. I have learned to trust God with every step of my journey, even if I can't see far ahead.

After thinking about this, a thought arose in my heart, Could it be that our issue with living a life of faith is that we have not lived a life built in  and on truth? Could it be that the very reason  we are struggling to grow in God and move in God is because we avoid what TRUTH really proves?  Are we relying on our own understanding to help us reconcile with what God proves through the trials of truth?

We live in a day where deception and delusion is the most popular choice. Ignorance is the card we rather play to avoid responsibility; but all of this will lead us to a life of lawlessness, with false signs and wonders, confusion, and lies ( 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12) . This is not the world we want to live in! This is not the reality we want to keep functioning from. So, it is important to let God establish your life in HIS truth. If we fail to, we will live a life STRONG & WRONG, leading generations down a path of instability.

God desires to trust us with the authority, but we have to let truth be found in us. If it is not found in us, we have to let truth be worked in us, built in us, established in us, by the Holy Spirit. ( John 16:13)

And Most importantly, we have to let truth be TRIED in US and in everything around us to remove every area of delusion and bring us into a place of redemption, safety, and preservation by His Spirit. May your witness be preserved! May your anointing be preserved! May your grace be preserved! May it not be tainted or perverted by deception and delusion. May You walk and impact the Earth with the Truth that comes from our God! This is absolutely necessary for the impact you are about to make in your life.

Devotional Scripture:

1 Peter 1

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,

To the [a]pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ:

Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

A Heavenly Inheritance

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance [b]incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been [c]grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not [d]seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

10 Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, 11 searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. 12 To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to [e]us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into.

Living Before God Our Father

13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

17 And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your [f]stay here in fear; 18 knowing that you were not redeemed with [g]corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 20 He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was [h]manifest in these last times for you 21 who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

The Enduring Word

22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth [i]through the Spirit in [j]sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, 23 having been born again, not of [k]corruptible seed but [l]incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides [m]forever, 24 because

“All flesh is as grass,And all [n]the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers,And its flower falls away,

25

But the [o]word of the Lord endures forever.”

Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.
